Light on the water…2

Two hundred feet or so above jagged rocks, Inyswidden looks out over an open sea highway stretching southeastwards to France, Spain, Portugal and beyond.

Every day a drama of changing light is played out, morning and evening as clouds drift and rise over the cliff top, gales batter the exposed headlands, a sea-fog descends to veil sea and land, or calm and quiet prevails.

This sequence of twenty images was shot over ten minutes on the 7th of April 2011. A day of near flat calm, with layered clouds moving slowly eastwards under morning sun while pools of light seemed to drift and gently turn in the opposite direction.
