My work

is essentially a reflection of and on the growing tension between human activity and the natural world – a world first formed by chance events, including the emergence of life and more recently ourselves. Now, the economic and social forces unleashed by our success as a species, and the ravenous demands of our cities, shape the modern landscape and leave their marks upon it.

As transport and information networks spread out across the globe our relationship with this ever shrinking world becomes increasingly ambivalent. In the process we are losing the mystery and magic of difference and diversity, along with the ability to find wonder in our immediate surroundings.

This website, along with regular exhibitions and occasional installations, allows me to develop narratives around issues, themes and subjects that interest me.
